With Earth Day right round the corner is has us thinking about all thins sustainable and socially conscious, from fashion to food and how we live our lives. During this season we’re overloaded with the environmental impact of pretty much everything in existence and most importantly, our personal footprint on this planet.
Sometimes we vow to ourselves to shop less, skip the straw, ditch the plastic bag, eat less meat, turn off all the lights, and so on… Earth Day ends up being a sea of overwhelming what ifs and series of half-assed resolutions to ‘do our part’.
For decades eco-fashion has been associated with low end products, often in varying shades of beige, and it’s often said that sustainable clothing has to be fashionable first, and ethical second; women wont buy or wear clothing just because it’s good for the earth – it has to be something that draws their attention – and keeps it.That’s why we’ve made it our mission is to make colorful, vibrant clothes made from sustainable fabrics while prioritizing ethical manufacturing and production.
With each new collection the owners of BIA BORO personally go to their factory at time of production to manage and oversee all aspects of the production process ensuring impeccable quality control and employment standards.

To eat meat, or not to eat meat; this is a debate that has been gaining momentum not only in the media, but also at home and amongst friends. The conversation on the other hand tends to be one of heated controversy as just the simple words “meat” or "vegetarian” tends to put each side on edge ready to defend their positions from personal attacks. Doing your part can be as simple as choosing to eat less meat AKA a flexitarian who practices the 'weekday vegetarian', or a 'weekend veggie warrior' routine.
By making a simple commitment to simply eat less meat by cutting out one or two servings a day can have huge beneficial implications on not only your health, but for the planets health as well.
We recently debuted a runway show at Vancouver Fashion Week where we highlighted social issues that matter to us such as; Mental Health, Sexual Equality, Gay Rights, Freedom of Speech and Eating Less Meat.
To bring it home on social front we had a surprise guest, Christopher The Travelling Pig chauffeured down the runway in a stroller with an underlying message for the crowd: Can we be friends? Can we as a collective eat less meat? Can we look at animals differently?
It doesn't have to be an all or nothing statement, choice, or way of life. We welcome you to join the #MeatlessMonday revolution, or jump on the band wagon of the trending Flexitarian's – they don't deny themselves meat, or have a stigma around it, they simply decrease their intake and by doing so they improve their health by using vegetables to their full potential.
We're better together, let's improve the health of the planet, one meatless meal at a time.

Our clients are treasure hunters, risk takers and global citizens that have a taste for minimal luxury. With that, we design products to fit your busy schedule; styles that can move with you from the bedroom, to your exercise classes, or to an afternoon dip in the sea. Made by eco-conscious bamboo fabric and meticulously handcrafted to ensure exceptional quality, our mission is to produce uplifting styles that focus on comfort, functionality and that do not require special care.
All our BIA BORO products are made from breathable and moisture wicking bamboo fabric combined with polyester and polyamide which are leading fabrics in the underwear and swimwear markets. Not only are bamboo styles more comfortable, durable, and the fabric won’t stretch out, they also have the ability to keep you fresh, and the garments dry quicker than regular lycra, or cotton spandex blends which allows for your skin to breath much better. Bamboo fabric is also an extremely durable and well made fabric so you won’t have to worry about them stretching out, or loosing their color.
Below are some amazing properties of bamboo that make it the perfect fabric for everyday underwear, sleepwear, working out, or going for a swim.
So go on, take a trip from the bedroom to the beach, in our transitional and eco-conscious intimates + loungewear.

]]>Blogger Sarah Loven from Jet Set Lust shows us how to start your day right, in #BIABORO underwear!
I've said it before, and I'll say it again. How can you expect to have an amazing day if you start it with crappy underwear? Groundbreaking, no? In this game of life it's all about the amount of effort you put in, self care should be top on your priority list, and it starts with comfortable underwear.
"Under every girls clothes is the lingerie that makes her day. To me, styling my lingerie is really important in my outfit building process."- Sarah Loven, Blogger of Jet Set Lust
Sure, you can go to Victoria Secret and buy 5 pairs of lace underwear for $30, but do you stop to think about the quality of the underwear? Is a synthetic lace really what you want to be covering your most important parts? Hopefully not. Good quality underwear starts with good fabric and impeccable construction.
Stick with a bamboo-blend, or organic cotton and skip the synthetic lace and unbreathable fabrics.
